My Dream, My Future

 BLOG POST 3

From the time I was a child, whenever someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always the same: I wanted to become a doctor. I admired how doctors help people who are sick and bring comfort to families during difficult times. To me, becoming a doctor meant having the ability to heal others and make a difference in people’s lives. As a kid, that dream felt simple and clear, and I proudly told everyone that someday I would wear a white coat and help patients feel better.

However, as I grew older, my dreams slowly began to change. I started becoming fascinated with airplanes and the idea of flying high above the clouds. The thought of becoming a pilot excited me in a completely different way. I imagined traveling to different places, seeing the world from the sky, and being responsible for safely bringing people to their destinations. For a while, I truly believed that becoming a pilot might be the path I wanted to take in life.

Unfortunately, that dream slowly faded when my parents explained that they might not be able to support the financial cost of pilot training. Hearing that felt like a sudden drizzle falling on the floor—quiet but heavy enough to change everything. After that conversation, I went through many days where I simply didn’t know what I wanted to become anymore. The certainty I once had about my future disappeared, and I found myself questioning what path I should follow.

Even now, I am still in the process of discovering who I want to be and what I want to do in the future. While it can sometimes feel confusing not having a clear answer, I have learned that finding one’s path takes time. Dreams can change, and that is part of growing up. For now, I continue learning, exploring my interests, and trusting that someday I will find the direction that truly feels right for me.
