The celebration is believed to be connected to Saint Valentine, a Roman priest who was known for performing secret marriages. Over time, the day became a symbol of love, affection, and devotion.


In countries like the Philippines, Valentine’s Day is celebrated not only by couples but also by families and friends. Schools, malls, and restaurants are decorated with hearts and roses. Many couples go on dates, exchange gifts, or post sweet messages on social media. Some communities even organize mass weddings on this special day.


However, Valentine’s Day is not only about romantic love. It is also about showing appreciation to the people who matter most in our lives. Love can be expressed through simple acts of kindness, forgiveness, and gratitude. Whether single or in a relationship, everyone can celebrate love in their own meaningful way.
