THEMATIC OUTPUT

Cleaning up is not just a chore, it is a responsibility of the people living on earth to take care, manage, and protect the nature and cleanliness of our environment. In celebration of the National Clean-up month, we decided to clean, take care, and make our environment alive again. This action, although small, already has a significant impact on the small steps we take in preserving and safe-keeping of our environment.                  It is especially important to spread the knowledge of the importance of cleaning up our environment because it  creates a difference. Whether small or big, if we all come together, it will make a big difference in each and everyone’s lives.                   By participating in activities like these, we also build discipline and unity within our community. Cleaning is more than just picking up trash, i...

REFLECTION

Reflection                                  During the first quarter, I realized that learning is not always about what the teacher delivers, but also about how I take initiative as a student. One of the discoveries I gained is that I can still learn and understand concepts by doing my own research, collaborating with classmates, and making use of online resources. It showed me that I can be independent and resourceful when the situation calls for it.                          However, one of the main challenges I encountered was the lack of proper guidance from the teacher. Since lessons were not explained clearly, it sometimes felt confusing and discouraging. I also struggled with staying motivated, because it felt like we were just left on our own without pr...

Nutrition Month Celebration: A Colorful Experience                                   Our nutrition is always our number one priority. Which is why the Nutrition Month Celebration is a special event that we should be celebrating with joy, peace, and love. In the last few days,  the Ilocos Sur National High School held an event dedicated to the importance of nutrition, exhibiting the unique talents of students through a jingle contest.                    As sections of students competed, one stood out in the eyes of the judges. The crowds roared in celebration as the host announced the champion, the grade 10 of Special Mathematics Class: Markov and Martinelli. As one of the watchers and supporters in the crowd, I had a colorful experience in being able to witness the different performances prepared by each section, helping m...

A Letter to the President

August 26, 2025 FERDINAND MARCOS JR. President of the Republic of the Philippines Malacanang Palace Dear Mr. President:     I am writing to respectfully express some concerns that many of us in the community have been facing in the recent months. These issues, while varied in nature, are deeply connected to the daily lives of ordinary citizens: 1. Rising Cost of Living - The prices of basic goods, from rice to vegetables, have continued to climb. Many families now struggle to stretch their budget until the next payday. This is especially difficult for minimum-wage earners, whose salaries have not kept pace with inflation. 2. Public Transportation Challenges - Commuters endure long lines, unpredictable schedules, and overcrowded vehicles on a daily basis. For many, getting to work or school has become an exhausting ordeal, especially in urban centers. 3. Climate-Related Disasters - The recent floods and extreme weather events have highlighted the urgent need for stronger...

"The Story of Us"                     Everyone has a story. Some people choose to tell theirs loudly, while others, like me, stay quiet  until they find the right moment to speak. This blog will be a small window into my world: not always perfect, not always loud, but always real. I may not be the most talkative in class, but through writing, I get to say things that I usually keep to myself.                   My name is Ella Mae M. Paulino, though my family calls me "Emae". I'm the youngest child in our family, which means I've always been a little more spoiled and a little more protected. People often say that I'm quiet, and maybe I am, but there's more to me than silence.               I grew up surrounded with life lessons, and while those changes made me more knowledgeable, they also taught me how to reflect, notice s...
